I have a solution for Health Care Reform–cut the politicans pay by 7/8, eliminate their health insurance,
and tell them to deal with it.

  4. treyslap says:

yeah buckley was a pimp. This guy got blindsided but he’s right. If every random schmuck in our country got the same level of care as our miltary (which Stewart seemed to support) it would cost trillions and lead us further into debt/China ownage

  5. MrBullfrog9876 says:

The military earns the coverage they get. Ok if we are going to use this reasoning that if the millitary gets health care then everyone deserves it then lets say that everyone in the USA should get a free hummer, amunition, gun, free meals. When you work for the govt. you get govt. coverage when you work in private sector you buy private insurance.

  6. soulphonate says:

A liberal who admires Buckley!? I don’t get it. Do you think any conservative admires Chomsky? If you think someone is wrong, do you admire that they are wrong gracefully or wrong with tact? I haven’t studied debate in awhile, but I do remember an unsaid rule as being don’t give an inch of your ground even if you see a crack.

  7. mamaluke29 says:

I think Jon Stewart misses a key point that the military has unlimited funding by the taxpayer. I think he also misses the point that advances in medicine and research come through the private sector which the military inevitably will use. duh

  8. SenatorJigsaw says:

@mamaluke29 jon stewart is also a liberal robot, he just says the “right” thing and gets applauses for it, dummy audience

  9. maulhoik says:

I dont debate, I discuss. I can admire someone with different opinions because I might be wrong. Let conservatives hate Chomsky; they can stay limited. I do my best not to deal in duality.

  10. arnair81 says:

Bill krystol is a dumbass and always will be.

  11. sKIPper76M says:

0:50 – Bill Kristol starts to say, “I don’t know, is military health care what you really …”

I think he was going to say, “is military health care what you really WANT?”, then realized what a mistake that would have been to say that.

  12. KakkoiiBaka says:

Instead of trying to refute Jon’s claims, you merely bash him and call him a liberal robot. This is a typical response by republicans. They have no logical rebuttal so they resort to name calling and straw man arguments

So if anyone’s a robot, it’s you. Try thinking for yourself for once.

  13. trakkaton says:

    1. You are missing the point that mass murderers shouldn’t receive ANY funding, especially not unlimited one.
    2. You are missing the point that medical research is not a part of the health insurance.
    3. You are missing the point that the public health care system works just great in so many countries in the world, that the lunatic “debate” in the US is therefore moot and that USans just don’t ever consider that there is something else on the planet except them.

  14. MsJCBurke says:

You can always tell when a person is faking that they know what they’re talking about when they talk real fast, mumbling and won’t let you get a word in edgewise.

  15. KottonMouthKing1977 says:

@SenatorJigsaw you are the fuckin idiot sir

  16. Bushwacked487 says:

@soulphonate Then thats an irrational way of discussing things. Youve changed the point of discussion from being the furthering of political understanding to a mere dick measuring contest. If you see a crack in your logic its time to go back and reevaluate both your logic and the ends of that logic. It’s called being rational.

  17. gojoeyea says:

just like the robots on Glenn Beck’s show. Right on!

  18. mexmetal666 says:

republicans are proud of that hypocrite lol

  19. mexmetal666 says:

you’re missing the whole point idiot.

Americans especially poor/middle class deserve at least descent healthcare.

  20. mexmetal666 says:

Right and did that republican said the right thing???

  21. YiddoBobbins says:

@getupjumpy lol, congratulations on being so wrong that you had to remove your own comment and write it again… And to be fair if you read it again you’ll see that I wasn’t trying to insult you, I was merely pointing out the obvious.

The NHS is free at the point of need. It’s a fact. It’s in the Labour and Conservative policy documents, for God’s sake. I think you need some free treatment for your mental disability.

  22. getupjumpy says:

I deleted the comment because I realised that what I’d written was slightly too complicated for you, but in a simpler form: ‘free to the point of use’ is a catch phrase for idiots, it’s like the ‘war on terror’… it’s just words but if you have a brain capable of critical thought you can understand!

It ISN’T free to the point of use, what part of tax do you consider free? Like a child you think things are free, those toys you love in you’re cereal… guess what… they’re not actually free!!!

  23. GynekiqBohybu says:

The porn at this place is awesome tinyurl(dot)com/cumjunkies

  24. mmaier2112 says:

No one “deserves” anything. That notion is one of the most destructive ones ever passed off as “thought” in the history of man.

  25. fury2112 says:

So no one deserves to not be a slave?
